Every Friday evening, Art Escape opens its doors for something a little different. Paint and sip.
BYO Night is your Friday night reset — paint, pour, and leave with something completely your own.
No art experience needed. No judgment. Just good company, your drink of choice, and surprisingly good art.
We alternate between Fluid Art and Splatter Art each Friday so
there's always a reason to come back
Experience timeline

6:00pm - Arrive and settle in. Pour your drink, meet the room. We kick off with a quick group drawing game - you draw for a few seconds, pass the paper, and someone else build on what you scribbled. By the end you've all created something ridiculous together and the room feels like you've known each other for years.

6:15pm - Into the art. Choose your experience for the evening. Follow your instincts, make a mess, and create something completely unique. No two pieces ever look the same.

7:15pm - The finish. Step back, admire what you made and finish your drinks.

FAQ
Q: What can I bring to drink?
A: Anything you like — wine, cocktails, mocktails, sparkling water, kombucha. BYO means BYO. We provide clean glassware for everyone.
Q: Do I need any art experience?
A: None at all. That's the whole point. We've had complete beginners create work they're genuinely proud of every single session.
Q: Will it feel awkward if I come alone or as a pair?
A: We designed the opening group activity specifically so nobody walks in feeling that way. By the time you pick up a brush you'll feel settled.
Q: Can I book for a large group or hens party?
A: Absolutely. For groups of 10 or more we offer private BYO sessions. Email info@artescapenz.com.
Q: What do I take home?
A: Your finished artwork, although it will take a week to dry so needs to stay with us.
Disclaimer: we will not allow heavily intoxicated individuals into the studio. You will be asked to leave if others around you are uncomfortable of your behaviour. Drink responsibly. Do not drink and drive.
